Craft Queensland: Partnering in commercialisation 2005   Closes 21 March
Craft Queensland is developing a pilot program that encompasses accredited training, possible industry placement with light manufacturers and exhibition and retail opportunities in preparation for export. Digital Arts & Cultures Conference 2005   Call for papers
Digital Experience: Design, Aesthetics, Practice the 6th DAC conference will be held at the IT University of Copenhagen, Denmark. British Council Australia   Closes 18 March
Would you like the opportunity to study in country with a solid reputation for academic excellence? Do you want to add some international experience to your CV? Do you want to further your studies in the field of creative studies, science and/or technology?

The Scottish Executive is offering scholarships to Australian Nationals to study in any Scottish institution for a period of up to 12 months. Contemporary Wearables Jewellery Award 05  Closes 13 May
Entries from Australian and New Zealand jewellery artists are currently being sought for the Contemporary Wearables 05 Jewellery Award and Exhibition. Raphael Prize for excellence in contemporary craft
The Society for Contemporary Craft is accepting entries for the $5,000 Raphael Prize. The prize-winning artist will also receive an exhibition, catalogue and video profile. The 2005 show will feature works in found materials. 25 finalists will be invited to create a piece based on the theme of "Transformation" for an exhibition from November 2005 until March 2006. ArtQuilts at the Sedgwick 2006   Closes 1 October

Planet will host two exhitions of ceramics in 2005 and is inviting Australian Studio ceramists to show work that is made to meet the table. The exhibitions will celebrate the specifics of culinary tableware and explore how ceramic pieces enrich the way we prepare, present and consume our food. Email Ross Longmuir for entry details

The 2005 Museums Australia Publication Design Awards   Open for entries
Award classifications embrace excellence in exhibition catalogues, newsletter and magazine originality, as well as innovation in book and corporate publication. There were also awards for outstanding multimedia published on CD and DVD and on a website in addition to accomplishments in traditional print, from invitations, posters and calendars to promotional publications, media kits and educational material. Opus Design Award 2005 Japan   Closes 30 April

Wearing Glass 2 - UK   Closes 31 August
Wearing Glass 2 will showcase national and international artists who work with glass as a key material in contemporary jewellery and body adornment. This will be a selling exhibition. Email for details.

Expressions of interest are being sought from artists, craftworkers and designers for the commission of new and contemporary artists' books for acquisition by the State Library of Queensland James hardie Library of Australia Fine Arts Artists' Book Collection.
