Living Treasures: Masters of Australian craft

Image of work by Les BlakebroughObject is pleased to announce a new exhibition series Living Treasures recognising three of Australia's leading senior craft practitioners as masters of Australian craft and design. Les Blakebrough (ceramics, TAS), Klaus Moje (glass, NSW/ACT) and Marian Hosking (jewellery, VIC) have been selected from a nominated shortlist of 25 established and highly regarded practitioners from a broad range of craft media in each state and territory. These three artists are valued both nationally and internationally for their work and influence that individually spans more than 25 years.

As part of the three year exhibition series beginning in 2005, Les Blakebrough, Klaus Moje and Marian Hosking will each have a solo exhibition of new work, with a significant public lecture, accompanied by a retrospective-style monograph celebrating their achievements.
